Entrepreneurship Contest -

Start preparing today to give yourself the best chance of receiving a grant of $1,000 for your business.
Eligibility criteria
• You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or landed immigrant, and can provide proof.
• You reside in Quebec
• You are not a full-time student.
• You must have met with a YES Business Coach by the application deadline
• You have been in business for at least 1 year.
To Apply:
• Complete the application form
• Provide 2 years of financial statements (this can include 1 year projection if necessary)

Canadian Youth Business Foundation Loan
Are you in need of financing for your new business? You may be eligible for a loan of up to $45,000 through YES in partnership with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), in collaboration with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). It is mandatory that you meet with a business coach before submitting a loan application.For more information, please attend the Grants & Loans Information Session.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this loan, you must:
- Be between 18 and 39 years of age and be eligible to work in Canada.
- Demonstrate relevant knowledge and/or experience within the industry.
- Work in the business on a full-time basis.
- Present a business plan demonstrating the viability of your business.
- Be in business for less than 12 months (from the time of your first sale).

YES is a proud partner of CYBF (Canadian Youth Business Foundation). CYBF provides start-up financing, mentoring and educational resources that empower young Canadians between the ages of 18 and 34 to start and grow businesses. With the support of our business coaches, you can apply for up to $15,000 start-up financing from CYBF and even go on to obtain a further $30,000 from BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada).*
It is advised that you meet with a business coach at least one month prior to the presentation to the committee. Presentations are tentatively scheduled for end of January, mid-March and the end of June.
For further information on this initiative, please attend our Grants & Loans session offered on Wednesday afternoons between 2:30 PM–3:30 PM.
*A referral from a YES Business Coach is required before obtaining this service. For a one-time $20 entrepreneurship file activation fee you will have unlimited access to specialized entrepreneurship and artists’ services including coaching, legal clinics and accounting clinics. You are exempt from this fee if you are receiving social assistance at the time of your appointment, proof must be provided.
