Launching Your Social Business

Are you curious about social entrepreneurship or looking to integrate social impact into your new business? Social Entrepreneurship is the use of business-like approaches to create, fund and implement solutions to social and environmental issues. It combines the passion of a social mission with business-like development, strategies and innovation. The workshops will focus on understanding the basics, exploring financing options and launching a social entrepreneurship initiative.

In part three, we’ll discuss the vibrant Montreal startup ecosystem and the opportunities and resources available to social entrepreneurs including incubators competitions and co-working spaces. In addition, you’ll hear from the creator of a for-profit social enterprise about her own exciting journey and experiences related to the launch and growth of her business.

The Fine Print.
Pre-registration is required. An Eventbrite service fee will be added to online purchase. Workshop payments of $20 or less are non-transferable and non-refundable. Cancellations for any paid workshop series must be received two business days before the start of the FIRST workshop of the series.
Available in-centre and online. If you would like to switch from online to the live workshop at the centre (or vice versa) you must notify us before 4pm on the day of the workshop. For more information, please call 514-878-9788
Please note for all evening workshops beginning at 6:30PM: Doors open at 6:00PM and the workshop begins at 6:30PM sharp. Due to the nature of the event and to minimize disruption, the center closes its doors at 7:00PM. Latecomers who arrive after this time may not be admitted.
