Are you in the food industry or planning to import food and related items to Canada, and wondering what the steps are in the import process? This one hour session will allow you to deepen your understanding of the food import process and its requirements in order to better conform to the numerous governmental regulations, as well as to avoid rejections and refusals that may cause business and financial loss.

The workshop will provide you with a better idea of your responsibilities as an importer, clarify the role of the brokers and their involvement in the import process. If you have ever wondered how a product gets classified, how to use the Automated Import Reference System to verify import requirements, how to know the difference between an Import Licence and an Import Permit or to strengthen your understanding of the food import process, then this workshop is for you!
