Are you curious about social entrepreneurship or looking to integrate social impact into your new business? Social Entrepreneurship is the use of business-like approaches to create, fund and implement solutions to social and environmental issues. It combines the passion of a social mission with business-like development, strategies and innovation. The workshops will focus on understanding the basics, exploring financing options and launching a social entrepreneurship initiative.

In this workshop, we’ll discuss the vibrant Montreal startup ecosystem and the opportunities and resources available to social entrepreneurs including incubators competitions and co-working spaces. In addition, you’ll hear from the creator of a for-profit social enterprise about her own exciting journey and experiences related to the launch and growth of her business.

Speakers:
Julie Hamel, Lead Social Entrepreneurship Coach, District 3 Innovation Center
Jonathan Chaloux, Head of Operations and Programming, L’Esplanade; Co-Founder of Coworking Qc
