Thursday, February 21: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Living and working in a new country or environment can be daunting and stressful. You might have to learn a new language as well as become familiar with new norms, customs and ways of doing things. To thrive, understanding how beliefs and values differ from your own and developing a plan for cultural competence is important. If left unaddressed, cultural differences lead to barriers that can impact personal success and happiness for individuals, and limit performance and productivity in organizations. Join Joanne Weston Edes, as she shares tips and insights on how to hit the ground running in a new culture. You’ll leave this interactive workshop with a roadmap for reducing the stress and developing the cross-cultural skills to thrive in any new environment.
