Emotional intelligence has been identified as the one of most important skills that employers need in today's competitive and rapidly changing labour market. Screening for emotional intelligence is done during the interview process and throughout your careers and is being used to determine if you will be an effective team member / have leadership potential and is associated with employee engagement and commitment.

This workshop will outline the fundamental components of Emotional Intelligence, what this looks like on the job, and how they are linked to effective communication.

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore your own communication style, as well as learn about different listening styles and how nonverbal communication is interpreted. As a bonus, we’ll provide some tips on how to best communicate with people whose styles differ from your own!
