YES HOSTED A FORUM TO ADDRESS ISSUES SURROUNDING WOMEN IN STEM INDUSTRIES

Last month, we hosted the ‘Advancing Women in STEM Forum’ at SAP Labs in Montreal. Over 60 leaders from the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), business, legal, government, and academic sectors came together to identify solutions and policy recommendations to address a number of challenges hindering women’s retention and access to leadership positions in the STEM industry. Attendees included representatives from CAE, SAP Labs, IC Axon, G-Soft, eSignLive, Element AI, Ubisoft, Status of Women, and McGill University

The Advancing Women in STEM online platform, which will be launched in the near future, will house the project’s material (including the Forum’s findings), and will have a bank of resources and tools to empower women with the knowledge and support they need as they navigate and advance in the field.

HELP YES TO REACH THE FINISH LINE! MAKE A DONATION TO OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Every day success stories are started and supported by our programs and services.  But for many the way to success can be an obstacle course of anxiety, self-doubt and hard choices.

At YES we help newcomers get a fresh start in the Quebec marketplace, we help job seekers find their way into good jobs or better jobs, we coach entrepreneurs to start and grow businesses and artists to earn a living from their art. We understand that success comes from being part of a team.

Unlike the Olympics, no medals are given, but the individual rewards of reaching success are real and tangible.

As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to enable us to continue to champion the over 4,000 individuals who walk through our doors each year so that they can  overcome their hurdles and reach their goals. Help us across the finish line!
Our annual campaign finishes on March 31. Even the small donations have a big impact!

PLEASE GIVE TODAY.

DISCOVER HOW HASINA RAZAFINDRATANDRA STARTED HER CONSULTING FIRM WITH THE HELP OF YES

Born in Madagascar and now based in Montreal, Hasina Razafindratandra is an entrepreneur, an international consultant, and a public speaker with over 13 years of experience in financial audit and management consulting, multinational organization and startups.

Armed with a degree in Economics from Université de Montréal and a degree in Finance from HEC Montréal, Hasina wanted to create a professional ‘world of tomorrow’; a world more connected and united in its diversity.

In pursuit of her professional goal, Hasina sought the help of our Entrepreneurship services, and last year, through business coaching and after attending several workshops, Hasina founded a management and strategy consulting firm, Code H (“H for human”) and has now set her sights on the global market.

As a Founder and President of ‘Code H’, Hasina continues to lend her expertise and deliver tailored solutions and training to public and private companies and organizations, start-up accelerators and entrepreneurs all around the world. Hasina was recently invited to speak at the Expo Entrepreneur Conference in Montreal and was also selected as one of 12 female entrepreneurs in Quebec to attend the Conference internationale des femmes de la Francophonie in Bucharest.

Hasina says, “I gained clarity and confidence in my project thanks to YES and was able to get answers to my questions, refine my business idea and get a better understanding of the Montreal entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
