TAKE ACTION AND MAKE A TRUE IMPACT: GIVE TO OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Spring is coming!  So it’s the perfect time to take advantage of the extra sunlight and spring forward into action!  But what action can we take for true impact?  Can we leverage the extra hours of light and bring positive change in our lives or in our community? Short answer; yes.

One action is to support our annual fundraising campaign!  All donations go to sustaining our community and strengthening our capacity to provide people with a start – or a new start in Quebec’s economy.

You’re in good company when you donate; we’re proudly supported by 100% of YES Board members and YES staff, so we are truly on this mission together.

What is the outcome of our action? Our clients go on to create businesses, employment and careers every day.

PLEASE GIVE TODAY.

DISCOVER HOW JORDAN PERRY EXPANDED HIS MUSICAL EMPIRE WITH THE HELP OF YES

Jordan Perryoriginally from Saskatoon, is a self-taught music producer, composer, songwriter and drummer and has made Montreal his home since 2005. With several years of songwriting and performing under his belt, Jordan wanted to turn his hobby into something more viable. He approached YES about 5 years ago and has since launched his small musical empire, but not without encountering some ups and downs along the way.

“Like most people starting their own business, my biggest struggle was not knowing where to find clients,” Jordan says. “That's one of the biggest things YES helped me with; not only with brainstorming ideas as to where I might find clients, but also how to track which methods are converting the best. Once I had a better understanding of that, my business became profitable almost immediately.”

“On top of giving me the tools to understand how to reach my target market and how to track conversions, the YES team has always been very dedicated to my success,” he continues.  “Every business or artist coach I've met has made me feel genuinely important, and that they want my business to succeed as if it were their own. As a solo-preneur that kind of support is invaluable.”

Over the past year, Jordan’s accomplishments have run the gamut of making noteworthy connections with local talent musicians, receiving major radio airplay here as well as across the pond and having his songs played on some prominent local tv shows, like Quebec’s Marche à l'ombre.  But even with his current expansion underway, Jordan keeps his eye on the prize.  “Time management is a pretty big struggle at the moment,” he says. “There are so many tasks that go into running a business that I've recently hired a part time assistant to help with client intake and clerical tasks and I plan to increase her responsibilities so I can focus on what my business is based on: music!”
