Montreal – Thursday, October 14, 2004. Over 100 participants are expected to attend the 3rd Quebec Employment Service Providers Conference, “What Employers Want, What Job Seekers Need And What Service Providers Need To Know”, set to take place on October 21, 2004 at the Centre Mont-Royal, 2200 Mansfield, Montreal from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
This year’s keynote speaker is the renown Dr. Barbara Moses, author of “What Next? The Complete Guide To Taking Control Of Your Working Life”, who will discuss how to find work/life balance and succeed in your career. Other speakers include Gavin Turley (National Executive Director, The Kidney Foundation of Canada) who will discuss the changing work environment, Dr. Caminee Blake (Psychologist & Consultant in Cultural Diversity) who will discuss cultural diversity, and a panel of Human Resource professionals who will share their views on what they look for when hiring. The conference concentrates on issues specific to employment agencies provding English-language services in Quebec, and provides participants a rare opportunity to network, share valuable information and showcase their employment organizations.
Hosted by Youth Employment Services (YES) and sponsored by YES and the Employment Services Roundtable, this event is the only one of its kind to provide a forum of discussion for English-language employment service providers in Quebec.
Youth Employment Services is a non-profit, community organization that delivers English-language job-search and self-employment services to Quebecers.
