YES Montreal and internationally renowned record label Ninja Tunes join forces to reveal industry trade secrets to musicians and recording artists.
As part of its Business Skills for Creative Souls Workshop Series, YES Montreal will be hosting a workshop that no aspiring recording artist or musician will want to miss. With a panel of experts spanning the local music industry, participants can expect to gain vital information surrounding the pros and cons of making home recordings, as well as helpful advice on the process of making the transition from a home-based studio to a professional recording studio.
On the panel of experts is producer, engineer, teacher and dj, Ilya Pauly from one of Montreal’s leading recording studios, The Furnace.As well, Pauly is involved with local record label, Afrokats Records. Joining him is Jeff Waye of internationally acclaimed record label, Ninja Tunes. Waye has been instrumental in the music industry for the last 20 years, and he currently owns and operates the North American-based office for Ninja Tunes /Big Dada/Counter Records, and is a partner/talent scout for Third Side Music Publishing. He also runs another small label called Ta-Da Records, along with being a freelance writer. Rounding out the panel we have Dave “Ninja Dave” Denyer also from Ninja Tunes.
