Holiday Job Tree 2007-12-06

Money grows on trees as YES begins annual Holiday Job Rush Campaign.

To coincide with our new location on the corner of Sherbrooke and University Street, YES Montreal is launching their Holiday Job Tree Campaign. As part of their ongoing services, YES is offering clients free computer access, counseling services and tips on how to secure these holiday jobs. The initiative aims at offering university and CEGEP students a quick, easy and free way to find temporary work during the holiday season.
Companies posting job openings on the Holiday Job Tree are seeking to hire candidates for sales, customer service, and retail positions. At press time, approximately 300 jobs were available to the public through this unique program.
“We know that there is a real need for these ‘survival jobs’ among university and CEGEP students,” says Iris Unger, executive director of YES. “Many stores are looking for responsible people to work for a few weeks during the holiday period. We’re helping the students and stores get together.”
The YES centre is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Students or businesses who require more information can contact YES at (514) 878-9788, or stop by the YES centre. Come visit us at our new location at 666 Sherbrooke St. West, on the 7th floor.
