ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

In order to successfully fulfill our mission, we count on the generosity of the community to contribute to our annual fundraising campaign. Our goal is to raise $30,000 by March 31, 2013 and you can help.

Has YES made a difference in your life?  Perhaps you have attended some of our helpful and informative workshops, or received advice from our job search team or business and artists' coaches? If you can answer YES to any of these questions, we hope that you will consider a gift to YES. Any amount helps!

With your support, we can continue to help you, your family, friends, neighbours or those most in need to find jobs, start businesses, and start giving back to the Montreal community.

Thank you to those who have already donated.
We are more than halfway to our goal!

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
PLEASE GIVE TODAY.

Tax receipts will be issued for gifts of $10 or more

WINTER/SPRING 2013 PROGRAM BOOK

CLIENT OF THE MONTH: CAROLYN BOLL

For Carolyn Boll, it all began with the YES Artists’ Conference: Business Skills for Creative Souls. Successful, creative souls telling hopeful, creative souls that it ‘is’ possible.

Like many artists, Carolyn took a job to support her art between getting grants. As a long-time florist, then retail merchandiser and visual display manager for a home decor store, Carolyn knew she could and should be creative in her working life.
Eventually she wanted to get business-like about her creative life.

She attended YES’ Jump-Start Your Art/Artists’ Grants & Loans Information Session, signed up for Business Coaching sessions and then began Artist Coaching sessions with devoted YES Artist Program Coordinator, Monika Majewski.

“My primary goal was to weave my diverse arts background in coaching, dance and writing into a marketable career while deepening my commitment to my present creative pursuits,” Carolyn says. “We worked on time management, marketing, expanding networks, setting realizable goals, and getting my work “out there”.”

Carolyn attended several YES workshops including Social Media: Tools & Strategies for Artists and How to Get Sponsorships for Your Projects hosted by inspiring artist-entrepreneurs such as curator, writer & digital influencer, Chris Zeke Hand and Hilary Leftick, Executive Producer, POP Montreal.

“I now have a rewarding vocation - Carolyn Boll Writing and Creative Services (www.carolynboll.com), which includes writing artist dossiers, proposals and texts for exhibition catalogues,” she says.

Her first published poem recently appeared in the Muse Issue of The Lavender Review. http://lavrev.net/muse/boll.html

“Business skills. Check!  Creative soul. Check! Thanks YES!”
