In order to successfully fulfill our mission, we count on the generosity of the community to contribute to our annual fundraising campaign. Our goal is to raise $30,000 by March 31st and you can help. Has YES made a difference in your life? Perhaps you have attended some of our helpful and informative workshops, or received advice from our job search team or business and artists' coaches? If you can answer YES to any of these questions, we hope that you will consider a gift to YES. Any amount helps! With your support, we can continue to help you, your family, friends, neighbours or those most in need to find jobs, start businesses, and start giving back to the Montreal community. Thank you to those who have already donated. Only a few weeks left to reach our goal! |

BE ONE OF 25 EMERGING ENTREPRENEURS TO ATTEND THE C2-MTL
CLIENT OF THE MONTH: ELEANOR SALINAS
Eleanor Salinas graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the John Molson School of Business. She had initially heard about YES from one of her marketing professors and after she graduated, she attended several of the workshops that YES offers, eventually landing a job in online sales.
With a major in Marketing in tow, Eleanor knew that she wanted a career that extended beyond sales. She began to network extensively through YES’ Women in Technology events, namely the Tech Talk Program Launch and a career night devoted to women in Social Media & IT. “Thanks to these events I was able to find a great marketing volunteer activity that was relevant to my interests and helped me grow my skills,” she says. “I also got to meet more developed professionals who were open to sharing their career experiences with me. This was awesome for helping me to understand what I wanted in a career.” “I managed to find a great new role that fulfilled this need by focusing on identifying exactly what I wanted and needed from the role by networking, freshening up my cv & cover letter and getting advice wherever I could,” Eleanor says. |
|||
“Now that I have found the job, I'm continuing to grow with YES. They're working on finding me a mentor to ensure that I can continue to develop career wise. I really appreciate all the help that YES offers and I'm happy to have the chance to continue working with them!” |
