Media Advisory For Immediate Release
MONTREAL, October 29, 2014 - Eighteen original pieces of art created by some of Montreal’s most vibrant artists will be up for auction tomorrow night from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Youth Employment Services' annual fundraising gala, Tune In To YES (www.tuneintoyes.com). Tasked by Ford of Canada (www.Ford.ca) to create original pieces of art inspired by the 2014 Ford Fiesta, nine Quebec emerging artists were selected by Ford to display their original creations in local metro stations throughout Montreal. Their one-of-a-kind creations will now be up for auction at this year’s annual Tune In To YES fundraiser to help raise funds for YES (www.yesmontreal.ca), a local non-profit specializing in providing English-language support services to help young job-seekers, entrepreneurs and artists of all ages, to develop economically viable careers in Quebec. Local area artists, including Norma Andreu and Damian Siqueiros, who have donated works will speak about their artworks and inspiration. Soul Stream and The Hellbound Hepcats will provide entertainment. The event also features food from a dozen area restaurants, wine, beer by McAuslan Brewery, a selection of other silent auction packages, raffle and door prizes.
ABOUT YES: As a not-for-profit organization, Youth Employment Services (YES) enriches the community by providing English-language support services to help Quebecers find employment and start businesses. -30- Catherine Brisindi Director of Marketing and Special Events 514-878-9788 ext. 322 cbrisindi@yesmontreal.ca Iris Unger Executive Director Tel: 514.878.9788 ext. 301 iu@yesmontreal.ca |
