LOOKING FOR UNIQUE ARTWORK TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION?

For the launch of the new 2014 Ford Fiesta, nine Quebec artists took the Montreal Metro system by storm, with their original art creations inspired by the 2014 Ford Fiesta colouring the Sherbrooke, Place-des-Arts and Berri-UQAM stations! Ford of Canada offered these talented artists an exceptional and unusual new medium to share their work, which led to the creation of 19 unique new pieces.

YES is excited to have these items up for bid at our
fundraising event on October 30th with 100% of the proceeds helping to support our Artists Program which provides free services to help artists develop economically viable careers.

Special thanks to FORD of Canada for the kind donation and congratulations to YES Clients Norma Andreu (Cara Carmina), Damian Siqueiros, Tyson Bodnarchuk and Jesse Collette for being selected to be a part of this exciting initiative. Click here to find out more!

NEW JUMP-START YOUR JOB SEARCH READINESS QUESTIONNAIRE!

CLIENT OF THE MONTH: SALLY HARADA

Sally Harada moved from San Francisco to Montreal less than a year ago without realizing just how difficult it would be to find a job here. “I had been looking for a job for over four months, and I was frustrated with not getting callbacks, interviews or any face time with potential recruiters,” Sally says.  “This lack of response impacted my self-esteem and made me doubt my skills and abilities.”  She was then introduced to YES where she learned that others were experiencing the same type of frustration and self-doubt. Her time at the YES Centre provided her with effective tools and motivational techniques that helped her to reevaluate her job seeking strategies and made her feel reenergized.

With this new-found motivation, and with the goal of making a career switch into the tech industry, Sally took part in YES' Women in Technology (WIT) NetWORK Now event. This opportunity provided her with a chance to be matched with five tech companies for on-the-spot interviews.

Sally walked out of the event having met five employers, two of which presented her with a job offer. She ended up accepting an account manager position with sweetiQ, a growing marketing technology company.

“YES supported me every step of the way,” she continues. “Ultimately, I walked out feeling more confident about my skills and myself so that I could put my best foot forward.  I am grateful to have been provided with this life changing opportunity. I appreciate the work that YES put into organizing the event and all the time they spent coaching and empowering me.  Thank you YES for everything!”
YES IN THE NEWS: BUILDING THE PERFECT PITCH
