START YOUR DECADE OFF RIGHT WITH A GIFT TO HELP OTHERS

Do you remember a time in your life when you needed support and assistance in your next career step? Maybe you needed help figuring out how to nail your first interview, or deciding which roles were the best fit for your talents. Or maybe you were struggling to manage the many hats an entrepreneur has to wear and not sure how to prioritize competing demands?

This newsletter has featured dozens of client success stories – stories that would not be possible without the strength of the community that supports YES. And each of those success stories started with a need for support and a trip to YES.

"YES is not just a place that helps you find a job, but gives you tips and tricks on how to find the job of your dreams.  … Meetings with my job search counsellor helped me sharpen my résumé and networking skills but most importantly, kept me focused and motivated!”
Pascal Van Wynendaele
Successful YES Job Search Client

Together with your assistance, we have helped over 50,000 English-speaking Quebecers find employment and start or grow their businesses right here in Quebec. Donors like you provide invaluable flexibility to respond to client needs as they arise. It’s not too late to give to the Annual Campaign and support another year of future success stories.

With your contribution, we can continue to create more success stories, enriching our community
and building the future of Quebec, one job seeker, entrepreneur or artist at a time.

Our campaign goal is to reach $60,000 by March 31st 2020.

LOOKING TO GET YOUR ARTS CAREER OFF THE GROUND? WE CAN HELP!

MEET JULIE GUÉRARD AND FIND OUT HOW WE HELPED HER TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN HER BUSINESS
Julie Guérard began her entrepreneurial journey in 2018 while studying Accounting at the John Molson School of Business. After two years of being a personal trainer, Julie found her niche after repeatedly being asked by her clients for nutrition advice and meal prep services with a focus on incorporating a plant-based lifestyle.

That same year, Julie founded her company, Pureprep, with a goal of providing meal prep/delivery options for people on-the-go wishing to integrate plant-based food into their lifestyle. “I made it my personal mission to make sustainable plant-based food easily accessible,” she says.

Julie is taking all the right steps, but her journey wasn’t always so straightforward. “In the beginning, I struggled with wearing so many hats from marketer to kitchen manager to accountant, all while being a full time student,” she says. “Prioritization and time management became an issue, along with acquiring financing and growing sales.”

She came to YES in 2018 and took advantage of our Business Coaching Services. “With YES, I have a great mentor/coach, someone I can talk to and who understands my reality,” Julie says. After several meetings and with invaluable support from her business coach, Julie was able to secure an honorific grant of $25,000 through the Plan d’action gouvernemental en entrepreneuriat (PAGE).
With this financial boost, Julie has set her sights on hiring a kitchen manager, refining her marketing and promotion, investing in a “grab & go” fridge at Evolvo (a partnering fitness studio), growing her clientele, developing corporate wellness and cultivating a catering arm to Pureprep.

“My business coach also helped me to set my priorities and brainstorm on ways to increase sales. Many thanks to YES!”
